Two of the best things!

Image
Team 11 had a fantastic morning in the kitchen making our pizzas and pizza dough.  We had to work out the quantities for the dough and convert some measurements in order to get the correct amount for our group's dough.  We let it sit for over an hour in a warm place before starting to prepare the ingredients for the pizza toppings. We made all sorts of pizzas including; Hawaiian, Margherita, Meat lovers and Vegetarian. We had to make sure that the slices were even and that everyone received an equal amount. They were delicious!

Census At School

Image
What is Census At School? A national survey that comprehensively chart children’s views of their own lives. Students were asked a series of questions about issues as wide-ranging as climate change, the amount of time they spend on digital devices, and how they handle interpersonal issues. CensusAtSchool runs every two years, and in 2017, more than 32,000 students took part, representing 534 schools and 1,062 teachers. On Thursday, after filling in a home journal, Team 11 went to the Maths room and spent the afternoon, measuring, weighing, timing and recording our height, schoolbag weight, circumference of fingers, foot length, balance amongst other things. It was a cool way to spend an afternoon!
