Being Sustainable with our energy

Image
Esther from Vector came in for a visit today to discuss and teach us  about being sustainable with energy.  We learnt about the different types of energy and how much energy  the average household might use - jeepers!     Making energy by moving a miniature turbine. Moving a helicopter through solar energy.

Census At School

Image
What is Census At School? A national survey that comprehensively chart children’s views of their own lives. Students were asked a series of questions about issues as wide-ranging as climate change, the amount of time they spend on digital devices, and how they handle interpersonal issues. CensusAtSchool runs every two years, and in 2017, more than 32,000 students took part, representing 534 schools and 1,062 teachers. On Thursday, after filling in a home journal, Team 11 went to the Maths room and spent the afternoon, measuring, weighing, timing and recording our height, schoolbag weight, circumference of fingers, foot length, balance amongst other things. It was a cool way to spend an afternoon!
