Census At School
What is Census At School?
A national survey that comprehensively chart children’s views of their own lives. Students were asked a series of questions about issues as wide-ranging as climate change, the amount of time they spend on digital devices, and how they handle interpersonal issues.
CensusAtSchool runs every two years, and in 2017, more than 32,000 students took part, representing 534 schools and 1,062 teachers.
On Thursday, after filling in a home journal, Team 11 went to the Maths room and spent the afternoon, measuring, weighing, timing and recording our height, schoolbag weight, circumference of fingers, foot length, balance amongst other things.
It was a cool way to spend an afternoon!
It is indeed a fun way to spend an afternoon. I have ordered 2 outside height charts. I'll let you know when they arrive and maybe you can be the first class to use them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see so many excited Year 6's engaging in measurement activities. I hope they will complete census for years to come. I'm getting excited to see the results for our whole country - not long to wait now.
